Have you ever driven down Main St coming from Rt 16 and come to a stop waiting for people to put their
blinker on or just letting others merge onto Main St from Maple Street?  

Right across from there on the corner of the is a small parking area,

Yea, Right there.

Well, that’s where I met Karen, owner of The Finest Gourmet, I walked in and this wonderful smell of
chicken just drew me in. I saw this quaint little area. Wonderful trinkets, small baskets of fruit, ready to
grind coffee,  just a great place to remind you that you are in Mendon.  

Don’t let the size fool you, for she has a lot to offer.  “This is a market place, where we have healthy food
to go”.  Fine words from the owner.

And does she ever.  Every weekday she has 2 different specials.  With choice Entrées like Chicken &
Broccoli Aglio, Shepherd's Pie, Chicken Parmesan with Pasta, Vegetable Alfredo, Grilled Salmon with
Blueberries and Caramelized Onions , Chicken Stuffed with Spinach,  and….

More.

There are so many mouth watering choices.  It’s just best to check out this link of her Online Menu of Main
Courses, Lunches, Soups, Salads, Bread, Vegetables, and Desserts.

This is the great thing, you can order online and the meal will be ready for you.   If you happen to just walk
in they will even take your order then.   Don’t have time to walk in? Well, they even deliver.  Just get your
order in by 12:00 and they’ll have it ready for you as early as 3:00 and open till 7:00.  Just let them
know.  “Grab and Go”.  In a rush? They’ll process your credit card ahead if you’d like.  High tech Fast Food
with Home Cooked Quality.  

They even offer meal plans! They will deliver once a week for four weeks on a set day using the online
menu mentioned above.  This has made a great gift for loved ones.  

Karen definitely knows what she’s doing.  She’s in her 4th year now.  Going high tech is important.  This is
the majority of her business.  Getting that information out with E-mail every Sunday with next weeks
menu.  On request, she’ll even send out daily specials.  

If that isn’t enough she also does catering. Corporate and Residential.  Holiday Inn Express of Milford is one
of her main clients.

Another selection is a refrigerated section of already prepared foods that you can just reheat.  I came back
that night and got their Steak Tips and Mashed Potatoes and they were out of this world.  The hot Maine
Lobster Bisque also warmed me up on that cold windy day.

Just want a snack? Go on in for a soup and sandwich. Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, Deli meats on fresh bread
or wraps.

The last thing she wanted to mention is, people are looking for more whole grain foods. Pastas, breads and
the likes, so she will now start to offer those products also.
